Vail is known for its world-class skiing in the Colorado Rockies. Luxurious condos and cozy lodges surround a quaint village sporting amazing dining and shopping. 

The town is home to a number of big annual events, including the food and wine festival, the World Alpine Ski Championships, a huge July 4th extravaganza, nationally-renowned summer music and dance festivals.

At Vail Pass, visitors can find a handful of scenic and easily accessed lakes in the Holy Cross Wilderness Area. The hike up the Holy Cross is no easy task, but one of the most popular in the area.

Vail Mountain - the largest single-mountain in North America - features a wide variety of trails for skiers and riders of every level. With the  largest network of express quad chairlifts in the world, Vail boasts 33 total lifts, 14 high speed quads and one gondola.  Vail has three distinct areas of the mountain, each with their own features and fortes, including three terrain parks, seven "back bowls" and 5,289 acres of skiable terrain.
